Awareness of one's identity is definitely a first step. We should all celebrate our uniqueness as well as the beauty of diversity. My feeling is that if we all manage that, then, the rest, the unity and likeness of humankind will be the next natural step... And thanks for mentioning another book that I didn't know about.Katiahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/01423190518569699882noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-27389926.post-79181816173464226422009-11-02T16:01:09.818-08:002009-11-02T16:01:09.818-08:00interesting post, utbt - much to think about when ...interesting post, utbt - much to think about when we see it from different contexts, especially through our own adult perspectives...Sheelahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/01892316117026334238noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-27389926.post-13585488306767726902009-11-01T21:21:29.680-08:002009-11-01T21:21:29.680-08:00I love this review UTBT - loved what all you had t...I love this review UTBT - loved what all you had to say (even if I don't agree with all of it :)Poppynoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-27389926.post-78769338895210970622009-10-31T17:42:51.912-07:002009-10-31T17:42:51.912-07:00Thanks Satish. Thanks Satish.utbtkidshttp://www.utbtkids.comnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-27389926.post-47912425651162947922009-10-30T20:08:06.544-07:002009-10-30T20:08:06.544-07:00another good one from utbt!another good one from utbt!sathishhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07061644730228380194noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-27389926.post-77829044517598121652009-10-30T12:50:52.145-07:002009-10-30T12:50:52.145-07:00Yes Boo, when you grow up. B...T, I agree abt the spiritual goal for every one. But my take is one needs to experience self completely that way he/she can understand how to merge.

In child dev when they talk abt 'sharing' they say how inappropriate it is to say SHARE to a child for a child wouldn't know how to share unless he/she has experienced the joy of ownership, the happiness of possession. This is not to be confused with selfishness, joy of ownership is different.

The same way if one understands how one is different then he or she can come up with their own formula for integration and hence the idea of a salad where every ingredient is tasty by itself and as a combination.utbtkidshttp://www.utbtkids.comnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-27389926.post-64700941582077323442009-10-30T08:40:23.662-07:002009-10-30T08:40:23.662-07:00Lovely review UTBT! You know, I got your point about the salad but when you described the homogeneous soup, I kept thinking of the spiritual end that we all will eventually achieve...of being a homogeneous part of a cosmos, with no more duality, and no more you and I, and mine and thine. Being the soup, from that pov, appealed to me very much. :)Tharinihttps://www.blogger.com/profile/09553983156612215920noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-27389926.post-79765194156041164642009-10-30T07:23:26.089-07:002009-10-30T07:23:26.089-07:00K's mom thanks.
